Job description

Our client is a Technology company that specializes in building, designing, operating and maintaining the UK digital infrastructure. The role is a hybrid role with two days required in their Warwick offices.
Job Summary
The Employee Relations Specialist will provide a remote, responsive, fair and consistent Employee Relations advisory service, in line with company specific policies and procedures. Supporting Managers with full case management and administrative support on ER issues including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, probation, AWOL, flexible working, investigations, restructures, Consultations and TUPE as well as providing support to ER Advisors. This is a varied role which would suit an organised, customer focused HR professional.
Key Deliverables
The key deliverables of this role are as follows:
o To mitigate risk of employment tribunals
o ER Cases to be resolved in a timely manner
o Ensure HR Projects, i.e. TUPE, Redundancy are completed consistently and efficiently with required due diligence and within required timeframes
o Provide guidance and support to the ER Advisors
o Ensure that the approach taken by the ER Advisors is consistent
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this role include:
· To advise, guide and support managers with all matters relating to Employee Relations in line with the companies specific policies and procedures both at the informal and formal stages
· Ensure line managers are clear on how to conduct meetings, including advice on meeting preparation and how meetings should be chaired and concluded
· Effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinaries, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance and absence management.
· Effective co-ordination and support of Consultations and TUPE situations.
· Developing effective relationships with the business to promote good Employee Relations across the organisation
· Monitoring trends in employment practices and advising on appropriate proactive action
· Providing advice and guidance on disciplinary and welfare cases, capability, grievance, and coaching managers where appropriate.
· Ensure all personnel records are maintained and secure, complying with obligations under the Data Protection Act
· Provide a helpful, highly responsive, efficient and effective support service in relation to all ER matters
· In conjunction with the ER Manager, maintain and improve Policies such as discipline, grievance and absence together with the associated documents and processes
· Managing employment Tribunal and ACAS Early conciliation related cases including settlement agreements and redundancy cases.
· Involvement in adhoc projects/activities which may include leading on local or large group consultations depending on the scope of the activity.
· Ensure HR and Employment Law knowledge is up to date and advice is given is in line with law and best practice.
· Ensuring managers are upskilled to deal with people in a fair and effective manner by having input into training courses such as disciplinary/grievance but also training managers individually or as a group with topics such as flexible working.
· Liaise with internal stakeholders, i.e. Occupational Health, to provide advice, support and recommendations
· Liaise with external providers, i.e. legal for additional support and advice where applicable
Qualifications / Skill Requirements

Desirable Qualifications/Skills
· Able to provide remote ER support for a multi-site operation
· Experience of providing HR ER advice in line with relevant policies and legislation, ideally in a case management set up.
· Experience of working on significant TUPEs, Consultations and restructure processes
· Well organised with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage high volume of case work and queries to meet deadlines
· Excellent verbal and written skills.
· Good working knowledge of current employment legislation and its application in the workplace
· CIPD qualified or working towards
· Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities
· Strong Employee Relations knowledge to include impact and expert guidance to shape effective solutioning, including understanding legislation and relevant changes
· Strong commercial understanding effectively assessing impact of case management issues
Experience of managing large scale consultations
