About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Employer Engagement Team as an Employer Engagement Assistant. As part of this role, you will be undertaking an Apprenticeship qualification for example Level 3 Business Administration. The skill level and subject will however be open to negotiation, depending on the applicant’s pre-existing qualifications and interests.
The Employer Engagement Team aims to work with a range of local Businesses from different sectors to create better and fairer work opportunities for the people of Hounslow.
You will provide flexible administrative support, respond to contacts and businesses, help with events, and manage digital content on the Skills & Employment Services portal, social media, and website. Along with opportunity to communicate with different teams and gain experience through a range of responsibilities, you will develop your on-the-job soft skills within this dynamic team.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
The Employer Engagement Team sits within the ‘Work Hounslow’ Careers & Employment Service and under the wider Children & Adult Services Directorate. The Employer Engagement Team aims to work with a range of local Businesses from different sectors to create better and fairer opportunities for employment and work experience for the people of Hounslow. While you seek to improve the quality of jobs in Hounslow, the impact that you will be making is significant and will directly contribute to the thriving local economy and the implementation of the Council’s new Business Engagement Strategy.
Your Role:
The Employer Engagement Assistant (Apprentice) position will report directly to the Employer Engagement Lead and work alongside Employer Engagement Coordinators. You will provide essential business, administrative, & marketing support to the Employer Engagement team.
Your responsibilities include responding to inquiries, maintaining administrative systems, recording, following up on contacts and referrals and producing reports on employment and training outcomes. Additionally, you will contribute to the team's communication strategy by managing digital content on the Careers and Employment Services portal, website, and social media platforms as well as participating in events.
Through this, you will be exposed to a range of different teams in a dynamic work environment and develop on-the-job skills.
