Job title: Employment Adviser
Salary: £26,520 to £27,000 per annum
Based at: Glossop. Additional regular travel required across the High Peak, and occasionally throughout Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire
Contract: Fixed term until 29 November 2024, full time (35 hours per week)
1. WHY THE POST EXISTS

As an Employment Adviser within the Employment Services department you will play a key role in delivering the Work & Health Programme, which aims to help people who have a health condition or disability, the long-term unemployed and other specified disadvantaged groups (Early Access Groups) find, enter and sustain work.
You will be a self-motivated and target-driven individual who has a track record of delivering excellent customer service and wants to help people to achieve their full potential.
2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- To attract, register, support and progress programme participants.
- Use a variety of techniques to influence participants perception of working and therefore achieve sustainable employment, including; effective diagnosis, coaching and training on a one-to-one or group basis, action planning and health & wellbeing support.
- Deliver the programme both in fixed Chamber locations, co-location sites and community venues, to ensure our services are accessible to all.
- Manage own workload/diary and adhere to deadlines.
- Work to and achieve strict sales targets.
- Help participants identify barriers and achieve a better lifestyle for themselves by pushing and promoting the benefits of being in paid work.

- Willing and able to travel between delivery sites.
