GBP26,520 rising to GBP27,000 after probation, pro rata

The Company:

ER Recruitment is proud to be working with our client, a well-known business support organisation based in the East Midlands who are looking for Employment Advisors to join their Employment Services department, where you will play a key role in helping people in structured treatment for substance use find, enter and sustain paid work.

Role & Responsibilities of the Employment Advisor:

• Manage a caseload of participants in structured treatment for substance use who are motivated to start/return to work.
• Meet and support participants to understand their key skills, aspirations and to help them obtain and sustain competitive employment.
• Support participants with their job search, CV production, application forms, interview techniques and career development.
• Assess participant support needs related to work which may include benefits/welfare advice, disclosure of mental health symptoms etc, and provide support & guidance.
• Establish positive and integrated relationships with clinical teams, employers and other service providers.
• To adhere to administrative and data capture protocols which record the progress of individuals, and to keep accurate and complete records of casework.
• Ensure that all relevant policies are implemented such as information governance and safeguarding.

About You as the Employment Advisor:

• Full UK Drivers licence essential
• Experience/understanding of working with people who have substance use support needs or similar (health, social service or voluntary sector)
• A can-do, upbeat and energetic attitude.
• Self-motivated and looking for a unique challenge.
• Confident delivering employability support both one-to-one and in group settings.
• Excellent local knowledge of support services and employment opportunities.
• Able to show compassion and build rapport with participants.
• Able to motivate participants and support them to achieve their goals.
• Thrives on challenging targets.
• Passionate about helping people to achieve their potential.
• Be dependable, reliable, trustworthy and capable of exercising diplomacy.
