Employment Lawyer – London – Competitive Hourly Rate – Hybrid Working

Position:Employment Lawyer

Organisation: London based Local Authority

Duration: 3 month initial contract

Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working

Hourly Rate:  Competitive hourly rate

Venn Group’s legal team are working with a forward thinking London basedLocal Authority to recruit a Locum Employment Lawyerto join their team.

The ideal candidate for this role will be either be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has extensive experience of practicing and conducting casework in Employment Law.

Local Government experience is preferable but not essential for this role provided there is significant relevant experience.

Duties shall include:

1-      Undertake and manage a caseload of employment matters and progress to conclusion

2-      Carry out legal research and provide written and oral legal advice

3-      Draft, prepare and process legal agreements and documents including briefs, pleadings, witness statement and claim forms

4-      Provide guidance, support and supervision to less experienced staff

5-      Deputise for the Principle Lawyer when required
