Senior Associate/Partner - Employment Law

As part of the continuing development of our very strong Employment practice area we currently have a vacancy for an experienced Employment senior associate or partner to join the leasing business.

The team have unrivalled experience advising large domestic and international clients, both private and public, across all industry sectors. They have a very wide client base and interesting and challenging work in a strong collegiate team. Their team is particularly renowned for its excellence in client service and proven track record advising on complex and novel employment issues.
The successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in contentious and non-contentious employment law practice, with a mix of advisory and litigation experience and potentially corporate support experience.
The role will incorporate the following key responsibilities:
- Managing a varied employment law caseload involving contentious and non-contentious matters;- Representing clients before The Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court and the courts;- Advising clients on a wide variety of employment issues by reference to relevant case law and legislation;- Managing public and private sector client relationships;- Advising clients on how to resolve disputes effectively and where appropriate, participating in mediation's and arbitration's.- Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:
The successful candidate with have
- A strong background in employment law;- Experience in advising clients in complex and technical contentious and non-contentious employment matters;- Experience in representing clients before The Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court and the courts;- Commercial awareness, sharing the firms commitment to in-depth understanding of our clients' organisations and building strong relationships; - Strong business development skills; - An ability to analyse legislation and advise in a practical manner;- Excellent drafting skills;- Strong fees and cost management skills;- An ability to communicate effectively at all levels;- A high level of motivation and an ability to act on one's own initiative;- Strong organisational and time management skills; - An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
