Endoscopy Nurse

As an Endoscopy practitioner, youwill be responsible for the total nursing care of individual patients within the recovery area and ensure recovery criteria is adhered to before discharging patients. In addition to this, youwill also actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care. You may also be required to support other departments such as outpatients and the ward from time to time. The successful candidate will be expected to: Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision Ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based, individualized patient care Undertake nursing procedures and support patient undergoing endoscopic procedures Manage patients in a safe and timely manner, through the Endoscopy pathway, identifying patient needs and taking action as required to manage or escalate to the coordinator or Endoscopy manager Carry out Endoscopy unit /Directorate/Divisional/Trust audits as required Participate on the Endoscopy nurse on-call rota and help to improve patient outcomes Assist and advise junior staff in the delivery of patient care
