Halcyon Care (West Midlands) Ltd is privileged to be working with a local family to recruit 1:1 Support workers to assist an exceptional young lady.
What she wants to share with you:
I am a vibrant and bubbly 25-year-old female, I live in my large fully adapted home with my Mom, Dad, younger sister and our family pets, the pets two dogs and a cat, they are friendly and will be around as they are an important part of our family.I currently have a support team in place that provide me with 1:1 practical care and enable me to live a regularly active and fulfilled life.I live life to the fullest and love to laugh and have fun. I enjoy attending my day centre Mon - Fri and do activities such as rock climbing, shopping, and carriage riding. I love listening to music and watching Friends and EastendersAt the weekends I enjoy activities such as outings to the park, shopping centres and visiting the café with my SUPPORT WORKERS.I have Cerebral Palsy, which means I require my wheelchair to do my day-to-day activities. I require hands on, 1:1 practical care which includes personal care, administering medication, feeding, moving and handling/ hoisting, and some domestic duties, including cooking and blending my meals. I also enjoy girlie activities with my SUPPORT WORKERS.I want energetic, positive, friendly outgoing SUPPORT WORKERS who can help me keep my beautiful smile.I like to get out so you must be confident to drive an adapted, automatic vehicle, the insurers will only accept full UK clean licences.The support needed from you:
2 days a week available, Tuesday and Friday.
10-14 hours a week basic, variation due to scheduled activities.
Fantastic working conditions in a modern well equipped non-smoking home.
General Shift Patterns:
Mon-Fri 8am - 10.30am /4pm - 8.30pm
Weekends 9.30am - 8.30pm
When you will start:
Regular hours to start in early May.
Bank hours available before May.
Optional overtime including Weekends, Sleep-ins and sickness or holiday cover.
Training:
Full training given including shadowing shifts and fantastic ongoing support from the family.
Fantastic pay rates:
£13.50 p/h weekdays
£15.50 p/h weekends
£80 per night sleep in rate
£30 on call rate.

What we want from you:
At least one years’ experience in careIdeally qualified to NVQ 2 or above in Health and Social CareReliabilityFlexibilityEffective communication skillsAdaptableIdeally DBS on update serviceAble to work without supervision.A can-do attitude.To be insured for the Motability vehicle you must be over 25 years of age.If you can offer the above and want to work as part of a friendly team, including hands-on family support when needed, and you can offer exceptional standards of care on a permanent and long-term basis we look forward to receiving your application
