Location: Dublin, Cork, Galway, or Dundalk


Global leading engineering consultancy is looking for a dedicated professional to lead their Net Zero Energy & Power initiatives in Ireland. This role involves working with clients and industry partners to advance sustainable infrastructure and support global net zero objectives. Their extensive local and international experience in various sectors, combined with their engineering expertise, allows them to uniquely address the challenges and seize the opportunities in achieving Ireland's Net Zero targets.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Net Zero Energy and Power Business in Ireland.
  • Serve as Key Account Manager for major clients, including Transmission System Operators and renewable energy developers.
  • Align with our business plan and understand the energy market.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market intelligence and professional networking.
  • Conduct competitor analyses and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Review national energy policies to align with client goals and project opportunities.
  • Participate in strategic planning and growth development for the Net Zero Energy Business.
  • Manage programme and framework budgets.
  • Represent the company in global practices, including the UK, Middle East, Canada, and North America.
  • Ensure technical responsibility for project quality, design standards, and delivery processes.
  • Provide technical support and act as a Subject Matter Expert on Net Zero Energy & Power.
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire the Energy Team.


Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer with over 10 years of experience in renewable energy and power infrastructure.
  • Proven expertise in delivering infrastructure for renewable energy and grid clients.
  • Active in the Irish energy industry with established business connections.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and project finance oversight.
  • Deep knowledge of the Irish renewables market, key clients, and delivery methods.
  • Self-starter with minimal oversight, reporting to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Strong team-building and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
