Job description

Engagement and EDI Lead

£32,500 per annum

Bath - Happy to talk flexible working, including home working.

Permanent, Full Time

37 hours per week

Curo, a leading housing association based in Bath is seeking an engaging individual to take on the role of Engagement and EDI lead.

Why join Curo?

Curo is a housing association and a community-driven business propelled by a profound social purpose. Our mission is to provide affordable homes that offer security and a positive future for our customers. We are a key organisation in the Southwest, and we create ‘profit for purpose’, reinvesting our surpluses to maintain and create more affordable housing in our communities. Our culture is deeply rooted in values - Care, Respect, Openness, Fairness, and Trust.

  • Delivering exceptional customer service is our priority, treating all individuals warmly and honestly.

  • We value diversity, tailor services to individual needs, and work to maintain transparent, inclusive communication.

  • Trust is paramount, as we entrust our team, customers, colleagues and partners to act with integrity and make decisions for the right reasons.

What you'll be doing

We’ve got some fabulous colleagues here at Curo and the People Directorate are all about supporting them and their leaders to deliver great services to our customers.  We employ about 700 colleagues so you can imagine there is plenty to do.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating and monitoring all colleague engagement activity at Curo, including running the data analysis and reporting on our engagement results.  Then it will be about working with the Directors to agree engagement plans and help them make sure colleagues enjoy a great place to work.

You’ll also be the lead on our activities on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), helping to create our plan and working with diverse engagement groups to support their ongoing activity.

More about you

The successful Engagement and EDI Lead will need to have excellent analysis capability alongside the curiosity to delve deeper into what our data is telling us and how we can use that to create better experiences for colleagues.  Being well organised and a self-starter is crucial, as is keeping an eye on external trends and developments so you can share this alongside business data to provide engagement solutions. You’ll bring a desire to identify and evaluate opportunities and implement solutions to improve organisational culture and colleague experience.

When and where you'll be doing it

We are based in Bath and have beautiful offices there, but like most organisations, colleagues work in the best place for delivering the service that is needed.  This means most of the People Team split their time between the office, other locations, and home.

What you’ll get in return

We think you’ll have a job that makes you feel good about what you’re doing every day which will help us to make a difference to our customers’ lives every day.

So in return for all your hard work, not only will the Engagement and EDI Lead get a great salary but we also offer:

  • A day’s leave on your birthday

  • 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 after 3 years’ service

  • Company Pension contribution of up to 10%

  • Flexible Benefits including health care, gym membership, buying holiday

  • And participation in our annual Homes for Good reward (up to 5% of your annual salary).

We will be reviewing applications as they come in, and may close the vacancy earlier should we find the right applicant. So, if you think you’re the person for this opportunity, please don’t delay and apply today.  We look forward to hearing from you.

One more thing

Here at Curo we are about getting the right candidate for the right role.  We recognise that as an organisation we are underrepresented in certain areas so we operate the disability confident scheme and we welcome applications from applicants who identify as LGBT or are from an Ethnic Minority background. It would also be great to get applications from our Curo customers too.
