Hestia's Volunteering team, work alongside peoplewho use Hestia's services, staff teams and volunteersto collaborate together and empower people to take control of theirrecovery journey. Opportunities are created for Service users toshare their experiences and to ensure that they are listened to andcan therefore help us design and deliver services which are centredon what people really need. As a EngagementCoordinator at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in ourVolunteering and Coproduction service. Your contributions willdirectly influence the lives of our service users, guiding themtowards a path of empowerment and independence.
A day will never look the same and some of the things youcan expect to do/be responsible forare:
- Recruit, motivate and train service users to take up therole of together network Champion in each operationalservice.
- Coordinate a network of Togethernetwork staff champions, a minimum of one per service.
- Ensure volunteers reflect the diversity of our serviceusers and taking action to strengthen the engagement ofunderrepresented groups and ensuring activities are tailored to theneeds of the individual.
- Respond to the needsof individuals with sensitivity regarding their age, culture, race,gender, ethnicity, social class, or disability.
- Recruit, place, train, and support volunteers ensuringthat all volunteers understand the roles and have a roledescription.
- Co-develop and co-facilitatetraining programmes, toolkits and guidance on recovery and workingtogether with staff and local staff to inspire and motivateHestia's operational services to fully work together andcollaborate with their service users on the delivery of Hestiaservices alongside the Together network Manager.
- Work alongside the engagement & satisfactioncoordinator to collate evidence and feedback of coproduction andhow operational services involve their service users in decisionmaking and designing services.
- Conduct a riskassessment and risk management plan for service users volunteeringin line within Hestia's volunteering procedures.
- Maintain accurate administrative records in line withHestia's reporting and monitoring of the Hestia VolunteeringProgramme.

- Excellent ITknowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) andOutlook.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy andevaluation skills.
- Knowledge of coproductiontheory and legal requirements within the Care Act.
- Good knowledge and awareness of cultural, social andhealth issues relevant to Hestia's service users.
- Able to build relationships and work jointly with a rangeof Hestia departments and operational services.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues andability to address them appropriately.
