Job Title: Engine Assembly Operator
Salary: £12.68 per hour
Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Job Summary
The role will see many different takes undertaken, from strip to sub assembly. As an Assembly operative, you will be working on remanufactured products for both British Army.
You will be working on Large V8 & V12 Engines from bare castings and individual components into a finished product.
Additional Info
On the job training will be given for every aspect of this job role, which will also include online training. A full training plan will be established, with regular reviews taking place to ensure the successful candidate is developing as planned.

Managing Parts for Salvage
Suggest process improvements.
May have to work in Asbestos Controlled area (Training Given)
What You Have
A modern apprenticeship, NVQ or equivalent experience – All three of these will be taken into consideration.
The ability work with SWES documentation, written and verbal instructions.
A knowledge of Engines, this is a desirable attribute.
Good experience with hand, air and measuring tools.
Engineering, workshop or manufacturing background
The attitude to develop both personally and professionally in a fast paced, continually growing team.
What You Will Get
The successful candidate will be joining an established with a lot of experience, working on product for the British military. In this role you will get the opportunity to develop your skills on a number of different processes which is reflective in not only being able to climb the pay grades at that level but sets you up for future career development within Caterpillar. At the end of the training plan, the individual will be trained up in one of the most complicated yet exciting products at the Shrewsbury site.
