Engineering and Maintenance Group Manager – Waste and recycling
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 (plus Car Allowance & Pension)
Location: Liverpool Area (with frequent travel to other sites and occasional overnight stays)
Experience: Ideal candidates may have backgrounds as Maintenance Managers, Engineering Managers, Lead Electrical Engineers, or Mechanical Maintenance Managers.
Role: Engineering and Maintenance Group Manager – Waste and recycling
As the Engineering and Maintenance Group Manager, you'll take charge of equipment maintenance in materials handling and processing production operations, primarily focusing on conveyor systems. Your pivotal role involves leading a team to minimize downtime by optimizing Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Candidates should possess qualifications as Electrical or Mechanical Engineers with significant practical experience, ideally with time-served status. This should be complemented by at least NVQ Level 3, HNC, or higher degrees. Demonstrable expertise in team management and budget oversight is necessary. Proven achievements in enhancing plant availability, safety, and production performance are crucial. Additional qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH certifications and knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems are advantageous.
