We are working with an education provider in the Birmingham area who are looking for an Engineering Assessor/Manager for Mechatronics & Mechanical Engineering to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The position would see you travelling between the education provider's main training centre and the facilities of their industrial client (all based in Birmingham), in order assess their engineering skills (focusing on industrial mechanical and mechatronics) and to manage the client relationship and learner journey.

The duties of the position would be to:
-Monitor and assess learners, ensuring they have access and opportunity to achieve the requirements of the standards set out in their individual learning plan.
-Coordinate and manage the process of learning, assessment and verification through any required standards and qualifications. 
-Determine and develop training plans and where necessary negotiate opportunities for delivery through site managers. 
-Liaise with other appropriate staff and update and maintain learner records in accordance with requirements. 
-The preparation of learners for their End Point Assessment, and for their job role.
-Carrying out Health & Safety audits and maintaining the Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies to ensure the welfare of learners and staff.

The training provider are offering a starting salary of between £38,500 and £39,500 per annum for this position, which would also include a contributory pension, business mileage, a health plan (including dental and optical contributions), and 34 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays). It is a full-time role, with general hours from 8am to 4:30pm. However, there is an early finish on Fridays at 1pm.
 
To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A level 3 Engineering qualification
-Industrial experience of Engineering
-An Assessor award (or willingness to achieve one)
