The main duties of the role will include:
Basic fault rectification on automated Tote Conveyors
Basic Fault Rectification on all other Automated Mechanical Handling Equipment (ASRS, stackers, de-stackers, printers, banders etc)
Working at height on automated cranes
Housekeeping
Retrieval of products from restricted areas
Re-stacking of totes on automation and at height
Communicating technical details to Engineering Teams
Support Engineers when needed
Normal warehouse duties
As an Engineering Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a quick response to a wide variety of issues, which reduces the availability of the automation. You will be required to resolve these problems quickly to ensure that the automation can continue to run effectively.
You will be required to have the following skills as a minimum:
Ability to work at height and climb vertical ladders to reach cranes
An exemplary Health and Safety awareness and record
Must be computer literate
Having an understanding of Engineering and Automation is desirable but not essential as various levels of training will be provided. You must be aware that the role will require climbing and lifting. This will be a trained role.
