We have an immediate short-term contract ongoing weekly to support the Facilities Engineering Manager onsite in Wakefield with compliance and contractor management.
Days based role - monday to friday 39 hours
Ideally £20 – 25 per hour target area but negotiable on experience and value add.

About The Role – Temporary Engineering Compliance Co-ordinator
We're looking for a Compliance biased Engineer to join the team in Wakefield . In this role, you'll play a crucial part of the team in ensuring that the engineering team complies with all relevant legislation and maintains compliance with contractor control, RAMS and method statements.
You'll work with the Site Engineering maintenance manager (Compliance) and your goal will be to provide solutions that meet compliance standards in areas such as ,Risk Assessments, and Work Instructions.
Permit-to-work - management system procedure used to ensure that work is done safely
Ideally, a qualified engineer but with experience of contractor control, issuing permits and conducting risk assessments and general site trades contractor welfare and management within the on-site facilities team.
Responsibilities – Temporary Engineering Compliance Co-ordinator
- Coordinate external compliance service and inspection contracts.
- Support the site in completing remedial actions following service and inspection visits.
- Ensure all Compliance and Legislative requirements are followed for contractor induction and works.
- Prepare and follow Risk Assessment and Method Statements
- The role will involve supporting the engineering team with ensuring our standard and bespoke products are tested in accordance with the appropriate directives and standards.

About You- Temporary Engineering Compliance Co-ordinator
- You have a demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles, and your safety knowledge demonstrates your commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to communicate effectively with people at all levels, and your specialist knowledge allows you to make effective decisions and drive improvements. Your computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience working in the FMCG industry (preferred, but not essential)
