Vacancy - Engineering Cost Estimator
ESS Employment are recruiting an Estimator / Costing Engineer for our Yate based client. This is an office-based position, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Duties:
- Prepare accurate costs for materials, labour and services
- Input cost data into company database (Excel)
- Notice and query differences between estimated and actual costs
- Provide manufacturing steps
- Liaise with both Customers and Shopfloor personnel, via telephone, email and in person
- Maintain all standards of Health and Safety of the Company
- Implement the company’s policies and business objectives
The individual:
- Must be computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office
- CAD experience desirable
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Able to work on own initiative
- Experience of working to deadlines
