Engineering Design Manager Permanent Full-Time
Hourly Rate - Circa £45,000 DOE
Location - Alcester
We're excited to be supporting an innovative British design and manufacturer of specialist agricultural equipment. They have over two decades of experience delivering the best agricultural solutions across the UK for landscapers, homeowners, arborists, and tree surgeons to name a few, they really are specialist in their field.
Due to continuous growth, and a huge demand for their agricultural solutions, they're now looking for an motivated Engineering Design Manager to join their team of professionals.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to

• Take ownership of the integrity of the part numbering system in both the PDM & ERP systems
• Ensuring the validity & maintenance of all design models and parts lists
• Creating initial BOMs & entering them into the ERP system
• Responsible of the engineering change (ECN) & part list, tied in with product serial number and number assignment
• Oversee and lead conception and execution of engineering product designs from design brief forwards
• Responsible in leading the design team from; design process structure & disciplines. Creating, maintaining, and training work instructions as well as procedures
• NPI project management & maintaining project action tracker adherence. Supervising the project schedule, budget, and communications with stakeholders
• Ensuring that all designs are compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements
• Providing valid, up to date product content & information for technical publications such as operator manuals, web content & homologation/standards compliance
• Responsible for the management of communication and coordination among all design & production engineers working on a project

Experiences required

• Competent SolidWorks designer
• Design for machinery or bespoke machinery (material handling, agriculture, conveyors etc)
• Able to create detailed technical drawing packs for manufacture
• Knowledge of PDM or ERP systems i.e. Teamcenter, SW PDM, Altium, SAP, Oracle
• Educated within Engineering as time served or academically

42 Hours P/W | Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm | Friday 8am to 1pm | Holiday | Pension
