Engineering Manager

Your new company
Working for a niche manufacturer of components for the building industry, you will lead an experienced team of Maintenance Engineers, reporting into the UK based, Head of Engineering.
Your new role
You will manage a well established and highly experienced engineering team. You will coach, mentor and embed a culture of preventative maintenance in the team, you will require experience of successfully implementing planned maintenance programmes. You will ensure your team are focused to ensure the site delivers productivity and quality in an environment of high morale and engagement. You will identity and deliver improvement projects to promote a continuous improvement culture, plan and control the engineering budget to deliver the most cost effective results. Implement an asset integrity programme, lead engineering root cause analysis and implementation of long term engineering solutions to prevent reoccurrences, manage KPI's including run hours, mean time between failure and cost to repair of equipment and systems.
What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced Engineering Manager you will have a proven record of developing engineering teams, excellent people and leadership skills. Nebosh certificate or equivalent in Health & Safety, advanced knowledge of CMMS systems (ideally SAP), strong understanding of lean processes (six sigma belt), strong automation knowledge, PLC's, fault-finding and diagnostics, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Root cause analysis, preventative/planned maintenance optimisation and a career background within a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
