This is an extremely unique role for an Experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in fast paced Industrial Manufacturing. As part of the Senior Leadership team, you will truly have full responsibility for the dynamic Engineering & Automation department of a flagship facility at a global manufacturer. For the right person, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact and contribute to the success of a business.Role DescriptionFocus on Health & Safety methods in manufacturing areas, driving improvements and continuously working on best practicesEffective and regular communication with staff and peers to maximise manufacturing efficiencySupporting direct reports to ensure safe and efficient practicesImplement or developing robust training programsOversee apprenticeship programs offering the best training and coachingDevelop methodology to measure engineering performanceFull responsibility for departmental spend on resources (projects, labour, materials, capital equipment)Real time performance measurementsOverseeing and developing a CMMS to deliver analyticsOngoing coaching and development of staff for Continuous ImprovementDefine and prioritise opportunities to automateSkills and QualificationsMinimum 5 Years manufacturing experience within an engineering leadership roleTrack record of successfully managing and developing teams and individualsExperience in developing a robust Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Experience in designing, implementing, and improving a TPM systemExperience in applying CI / Lean principles in a manufacturing settingExperience in FMCG, Plastics, Food (preferred)Project Management experienceIOSH: Managing Safely qualification / Occupational Health & Safety qualification (Preferred)Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and WordData-driven and analyticalCompany InformationAs a business our client is a true market leader within their industry with a strong presence across the UK.
