Engineering Manager - Ccgt Power Station

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Station Manageryou will be responsible for:

* Leading, training, and developing the engineering & maintenance teams, responsible for maintaining all plant equipment to the highest of standards to ensure maximum availability, as well as looking at long-term asset reliability
* Ensuring all maintenance works is complying with the company’s HSE regulations as well as the environmental legislation.
* Delivery of an effective outage strategy and management of projects
* Liaising with the Operations Manager and site Engineers for the purpose of plant improvement / modification / upgrade work
* Oversee the management and continuous development of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
* Taking ownership of the Engineering department’s budget.
* Defining and delivering on the asset’s long term asset strategy including looking at the net zero legislation

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* Ideally degree educated in a relevant engineering subject.
* A formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH will be desirable
* Please note, candidates will need to go through SC Clearance for this role

Personal skills and prior experience

The Engineering Manager role would suit someone who has:

* Supervisory or management experience in a Maintenance/Engineering role on a Power Station or similar heavy process environment. This can include EFW, biomass, CCGT, refinery, steel works, paper mill etc.
* Strong knowledge of pressure systems safety regulations (PSSR), rotating plant and boilers
* Knowledge of environmental permits, H&S issues and safe working environments
* Experience of managing engineering/maintenance budgets
