AddressEngineering Manager Newtownards £60k to £70k Vickerstock are working in partnership with our Food Manufacturing client in Newtownards to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager. Our client, a recipient of many awards, has a strong reputation within the food sector and is a household name across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with experience of Project/Maintenance Management who wants to be part of a growing firm where you will be able to lay a significant role in shaping the organisation. The role itself Leading engineering and innovation projects, managing resources to enhance manufacturing capabilities for current and future needs. Day to day management of Maintenance Engineers, overseeing preventative Maintenance work. Overseeing project implementation within set timelines and budgets, ensuring all objectives are met. Enforcing change control procedures and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables within planned parameters. Monitoring external services to maintain standards and meet specifications. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks through comprehensive risk management. Provide effective leadership and address team performance issues. Implementing engineering solutions for manufacturing challenges to drive continuous improvement. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines. What you will need Experience of overseeing Engineering operations within a fast-paced, high-volume Manufacturing facility (preferably Food). Relevant Engineering Qualification. Strong working knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems. Project Management experience. Strong working knowledge of health and safety practices.
