The Role:
Our client is looking for a highly motivated individual to join as an Engineering Manager. Lead a global team in scaling, tuning, and monitoring Foundation Models and Large Language Models with OpenShift AI. Drive innovation in model serving and Responsible AI, aligning open-source projects with business goals, and fostering a collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a distributed team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Engage with AI and Machine Learning open-source communities (KServe, TrustyAI, Kubeflow, Hugging Face, vLLM, etc.).
• Develop technology roadmaps and communicate schedules externally with product management and engineering teams.
• Coordinate across Engineering Managers and teams for enterprise-quality MLOps software releases.
• Direct agile development with technical and scrum leads.
• Mentor team members for career and professional growth.
• Recruit and build a high-calibre engineering team.
• Collaborate closely with teams on AI/ML capabilities for OpenShift, Enterprise Linux, and Middleware.

Experience Requirements:

• Bring 5+ years of software development and system design experience.
• Manage software engineering teams for over 2 years
• Demonstrate leadership in Machine Learning engineering, project delivery, and software engineer development.
• Proficiency in PyTorch, HuggingFace, and other Machine Learning frameworks/tools.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Go.
• Experience with Kubernetes for application development and scaling.
• Solid understanding of core Machine Learning concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead diverse, distributed teams across multiple countries and cultures.
