Engineering Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with an FMCG manufacturing company in the recruitment of an Engineering Manager. This Engineering and Maintenance Manager will lead all technical operations with full on-site responsibility, overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities at this FMCG manufacturing facility. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of production equipment and facilities while leading a team of skilled technicians and engineers.

This Engineering and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:

• Develop and execute strategic plans for engineering and maintenance activities to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of production equipment and facilities.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives through efficient resource utilisation, vendor management, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, conducting regular safety audits and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, process improvements, and capital projects.
• Manage the department budget, track key performance indicators, and report on departmental performance to senior management.

• Degree qualification in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and maintenance management within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical expertise in equipment maintenance, reliability engineering, and project management within a production engineering environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a dynamic and changing environment.
