Engineering Operative Apprenticeship - Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard: ST0537 Engineering Operative DJC Garage Equipment Services Ltd - Thatcham.

We are a small family run local business looking for an apprentice to join our team, we are looking for an applicant who is hard working, punctual and keen to learn. Job Description - DJC provides servicing, inspections, and sales/installation of all equipment used in a modern day garage, providing regular maintenance work and emergency breakdown call outs to local garages. This includes working on vehicle lifts, air compressors, lubrication equipment and calibrations of MOT equipment. The successful applicant will learn all of the above whilst being fully supervised in conjunction with day release to Newbury College and home studies. Whilst at college the applicant will study the Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Course, the course covers a wide range of common and job specific skills sets that can be transferred across the manufacturing engineering industry sectors during the course of their careers.

The applicant should - Hold a full UK driving licence or be actively working towards one Be able to get to work/college promptly Monday - Friday Be hard working and keen to learn Once the 2 year apprenticeship is successfully completed the applicant will be issued with a van equipped with specific tools required to continue a career with DJC as a qualified engineer.
