Purpose of Role:
This newly created role will join a recently established engineering function created to focus on process and project engineering across the business.
The primary function of the position is to co-ordinate and manage the relocation of three existing manufacturing sites as well as the refit of the new, purpose-built manufacturing facility.
The Project Engineer will work alongside and manage multiple external stakeholders to coordinate the entire project.
This role will have the responsibility for managing the project involving construction, fit out, equipment selection and installations, commissioning and qualification whilst ensuring the project is delivered on time and on budget.
There will be a focus on other Engineering Projects including the implementation of process and structure within the broader business as it kickstarts this new and exciting journey.

Responsibilities:
• Engineering –facilities, maintenance, plant, process, calibration and systems design engineering disciplines.
• Provide leadership and management of Capital projects from concept through design, procurement, contractor management and supervision, system commissioning and contractual compliance.
• Responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities through equipment design, operations and new technologies, conduct appropriate feasibility studies to support improvements.
• Construction –fit-out, commissioning, testing and set up of new manufacturing processes.
• Process Improvement – LEAN/Six sigma methodologies to improve the effectiveness of equipment, processes and procedures.
• Communicate- Responsible for communicating project progress and management of sub contractors.
• Establish project timelines, plans and list of actions.
• Track project costs and ensure they are within budget.
Key Skills/ Experience
• Facilities/Infrastructure Development and Construction Project Management experience, ideally within manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of working on large complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to plan ahead whilst delivering results to deadline.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a proven track record in negotiation whilst maintaining effective relationships.
• Excellent attention to detail with a desire to continually develop and improve processes
• A determination to continually develop and improve standards.
• Experience managing high level complex projects – change control, systems, people, process and culture.
• A recognised Project Management Qualification (ie PRINCE2 or equivalent) would be desirable.
