Engineering Service Technical Writer

We are looking for an Engineering Service Technical Writer to join our team specializing in Engineering for Cummins Generator Technologies in Peterborough.

This is a permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday, flexible hours, core hours 9am-3pm.

This role is hybrid with 2 days in the office.

Salary is GBP33,500 - GBP38,500.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Utilizes knowledge and experience of subject matter experts to create and update technical documentation and service documentation.

• With coaching and mentoring, uses information to create text-based instructions and descriptions. Ensures descriptions are consistent across documents and are suitable for translation to other languages.
• Track product safety issues and updates information accordingly to reflect changing documentation required.
• Works across teams and functions to understand changing documentation needs and updates accordingly
• Manages translation of documents and releases to document control system.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience in documentation and control, engineering discipline or related field.
• Knowledge of technical/ marketing documentation for publication
• Strong command of Technical English (Required)
• Computer Literature (Required)
• Knowledge of HTML (Desirable)
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat (Desirable)
• Experience in XML content management authoring (Desirable)
