Role Definition:
As a member of the Torque team within the Manufacturing Engineering Department, the Tool Repair & Service Technician is responsible for the repair, calibration, and installation of all tooling for the production facility.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Repair and calibrate all torque tooling.
Maintain records of the service and calibration of tools.
Support the production line throughout all production periods by responding to breakdowns.
Responsible for the booking in/out of tooling and recording this accordingly.
Running of the tool repair crib, which includes monitoring and ordering of spares.
Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
Adhere to Caterpillar's Values in Action: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork.
Undertake training/further learning as required.

Required Qualifications:
Experience of torque tool repairs (including air, battery and DC tooling)
Proven mechanical background in a production/manufacturing environment.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows packages.
The ability to communicate at all levels with both internal/external customers and suppliers.
Able to work alone as well as part of a team.
Willing to work a multi-shift pattern.
Excellent organisation skills to manage and prioritise workloads.
Be self-motivated and can work on your own initiative.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of calibration systems.
Knowledge of Smart tooling solutions

Job Title: Engineering Support Technician
Salary: £32,500 rising to £36,000 (£16.67 rising to £18.45 per hour) Following initial training this role will benefit from an afternoon shift premium
