Shift: 4 on 4 off
The Role:
- Working to manage and support a team of 4 experienced multi-skilled engineer in the delivery of planned and preventative maintenance.
- Improve the effectiveness of the Engineering Team by reducing downtime and increasing productively, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard to maximise plant reliability and product quality and safety.
- Taking the lead on complex maintenance tasks and ensuring parts are available and handovers are carried out effectively.
- Will conduct training and coaching of the operations team with autonomous maintenance and lead small control meetings with the production team.
- Ensure that the plant is safe, and the team conforms to health and safety legislation.
The Candidate:
- Must have an engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, HNC or degree.
- Practical knowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Will have strong health and safety legislation knowledge such as IOSH or PUWER.
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities in order to improve the performance and create trust and collaboration within their team.
- Will have excellent problem-solving skills and anticipate issues before they occur, finding swift and appropriate solutions.
- Utilise project management techniques in order to create future objectives and identify areas of risk and create contingency plans for these.
