We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Team Leader, within the Engineering Department. You will be responsible for leading the engineering shift team in the day-to-day activities. You will run, monitor and improve the CMMS assigning work to engineers and contractors. You will run the weekly engineering budget, ordering parts and arranging contractors. Your daily tasks will also include attending production and downtime meetings liaising closely with the production managers. You will monitor & maintain a high standard of work and actively look for new ways of proactively reducing equipment down time. Using the company OEE system you will interrogate the system to highlight downtime and produce a root cause analysis to put a long-term fix in place. You will also be supporting the Engineering Team during periods.
The Successful Individual
You must have the following experience to be selected for interview:
- City & Guilds/Level 3 NVQ minimum in Electrical Engineering
- Experience of managing others in an FMCG environment including managing absence and performance
- Experience with the following would be an advantage: Fillers, Vacuum tray sealers, slicers, bowl choppers, boxing and packaging machines, xray, metal detectors.
- Experience of fault finding and diagnosis at a fast pace
- An ability to work on your own initiative and as a part of a team
