This role is available either as a full-time position covering maternity leave until the end of the academic year with full duties on without and the school will consider part time for the right candidate.
The Role:
As an English Teacher in the heart of Gloucester, you will have the chance to inspire and educate students in the realm of English literature and language. The school encourages a creative teaching approach, providing you with the freedom to plan and mark lessons fully.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging English lessons up to GCSE level, fostering a deep appreciation for language and literature.
- Support students' academic and personal development.
- Conduct regular assessments, offer constructive feedback, and track students' progress.
- Cultivate a love for literature, language, and creative expression among the student body.
- While not mandatory, the ability to teach A-level English would be advantageous, enhancing the educational journey of our students.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Possess an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and provide necessary documents for checks.
- Provide a CV reflecting the last 10 years of employment history.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
Compensation:
The daily rates range from £120 to £250 per day, commensurate with experience and PayScale.
