English Teacher

Now Education are seeking a Teacher of English to join a secondary school in Camberwell, London from January 2024. As an English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the school’s students. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and dynamic lessons that align with the KS3 and KS4 English Curriculum
• Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.
• Collaborating with other members of the English department to develop and enhance the English curriculum and resources.
• Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, and maintaining effective communication channels.

To be considered for this English Teacher role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in English or a related subject.
• Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
• Be able to commute to Camberwell, Southwark
• Strong subject knowledge
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
