English Teacher with Head of Year Responsibility
Location: Highbury, Islington
Wayman Education is a specialist recruitment agency with over 20 years of experience within the education field. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced English Teacher to join a leading independent school in Highbury, Islington.
Head of Year responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of teachers
• Monitor and track student progress
• Provide pastoral support to students
• Work with parents and carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  

English Teacher responsibilities:

• Teach English to students across all key stages
• Develop and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons
• Assess student work and provide feedback
• Work with other teachers to ensure that the English curriculum is well-coordinated
  

The ideal candidate will have:

• QTS or PGCE
• Experience of teaching English at secondary school level
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum
• The ability to create engaging and stimulating lessons
• A commitment to continuous professional development
• Experience of Head of Year responsibilities (desirable)
