English teaching role in Mainland China

Main Duties

• Organize classroom lessons and coursework
• Prepare materials and activities
• Assign homework and interesting exercises
• Identify students with special requirements and create individualized plans
• Determine exam and homework grades
• Provide feedback based on workload and classroom behaviour
• Keep a record of students’ attendance and grades
• Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict
• Inform parents about their children’s performance
• Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to foster a good student experience

Skills and Experience Required

We are looking for recent graduates with an English taught degree and two years tutorial work experience to join an educational institution in Suzhou near Shanghai. TESOL certificate is required if the 1^st degree is not in Education. If you love English and have the ability to teach the language with patience and tact, let’s meet. We will sponsor your work visa application to mainland China.

Your main goal will be to create a supportive learning environment which will help your students meet their learning goals. Through interesting and diverse methods, you’ll teach them the important rules of reading, writing, and speaking in English. You’ll oversee their progress by tracking their exam grades, in order to provide useful feedback.

• BSc/BA in Education, English Language, English Literature is preferred.
• TESOL training & certification required if 1^st degree is not in Education.
• For work visa purposes the applicant has to have a UK, American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand or South African passport.
