It’s an exciting time to work in the City of Doncaster Skills Team. We are seeking an Enterprise Coordinator to join our Careers Hub, to focus on the Apprenticeship and Higher Education agenda and we would consider a secondment.
Doncaster’s Education & Skills 2030 Strategy puts forward a number of aspirational priorities, and it presents a Talent & Innovation Ecosystem (TIE) model, which aims to provide learners with varied and continued opportunities to develop both soft and hard skills, as well as conceptual and practical knowledge that will allow them to flourish in life and work. This role will drive forward and implement a range of exciting initiatives aligned to our aspirational strategy, including the delivery of the Apprenticeship Knowledge and Skills (ASK) programme in Doncaster Schools, and the expansion and investment in Zero Gravity making it available to all year 12 students.
Our ambitions are to make skills and education; accessible, inspirational and inclusive. This role is focussed the Apprenticeship and Higher Education agenda for people of all ages, but with a majority focus on young people. We are looking for a proactive person who will work with our partners such as SYMCA and the SY Apprenticeship Hub, and our Business Doncaster Employment Team to ensure we work together increase outcomes for Doncaster.
This work will further develop the transformation of our learning ecosystem in exciting times from an all-age learning and skills viewpoint.
There are opportunities to be innovative and bring new ideas to the table, develop new projects and apply for funding as well as ensuring the successful outputs and outcomes from these projects.
Ideally you will be experienced and knowledgeable in Apprenticeships and Higher Education, a forward thinking motivated person, with a proven track record of being able to work successfully with partners.
