Enterprise Data Architect

Location: City of London (Hybrid - 50% office requirement per week)

Industry: Lloyd's Insurance

Salary: Up to 110k (+ bonus up to 20%)

I am currently recruiting for a business within the Lloyds of London space who are building out a Data Analytics and Science practise from the ground up. As part of this, I am currently recruiting for a Enterprise Data Architect.

The successful candidate will play a critical role, being responsible for the overall strategic design of the company's applications, systems infrastructure, and Data Architecture. You will ensure that the design frameworks, governance, and processes that underpin them are aligned with the business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define the target Data Architecture and overall enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
• Provide technical leadership and guidance by driving the technical vision and roadmap.
• Evaluate, standardize, and implement technologies and products for Data Architecture.
• Mentor and lead a small team of architects and engineers
• Manage architecture projects and initiatives, including solution design, system integration, and technology upgrades.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in architecture roles with strong knowledge of Data Architecture, preferably within the insurance industry
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level architectures.
• Experience with Azure data technology stack (Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics etc.)
• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and/or robotic process automation within a finance or insurance content is incredibly useful
• Experience leading a small team
• Strong understanding of the Insurance domain, regulations and business processes
