Environmental and Sustainability Advisor 35 hrs per week (ft) GBP31,491 to GBP38,389 pa (subject to skills and experience) Initially a two-year contract with scope to extend, funding permitting. The Environmental and Sustainability Advisor will: o have lead responsibility for coordinating work to implement the Diocesan Net Zero Carbon Action Plan. o devise and facilitate implementation of a management plan to ensure year-on-year reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. o undertake effective data analysis and reporting to support decision making. o support the continuing development of accurate emissions data. o support the work of the Property Team in relation to clergy housing, by providing energy audits and reviewing options for measures to reduce carbon footprint. o Offer advice on projects designed to support parishes and schools in relation to net zero carbon, such as energy audits, including support on options, permissions, and funding. o Provide environmental guidance and technical support to the NDBF and PCCs o maintain awareness of resources and funding opportunities available.
