SalaryOur client in Scotland is seeking an EHO/Environmental Protection Officer on an initial 3 month contract.
Rate: £40 - £50 per hour (DOE)
The nature of the work will be predominately responding to complaints in relation to statutory nuisances such as; Noise, Smoke, Drainage, Odour, and waste/flytipping. In addition, you will also review planning applications relating to noise and acoustics and work with businesses regarding their licences for commercial use.
Part time or full time is on offer with hybrid/flexible working arrangements.
Qualifications/Experience
- Hold a BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in Environmental Health
- Registered with EHORB / REHIS
- Previous experience undertaking enforcement action, and working with the public/residents
- Experience working in a local authority setting
