Environmental Health Officer

Working for Ashford Borough Council, we have an immediate requirement for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to start immediately on a temporary basis initially for 2 months.

The role will require you to undertake food hygiene inspections on commercial premises across the borough. You will be working office hours most days, however there will be a requirement to work some evenings dependent on the service needs.

You must have commercial experience of undertaking food hygiene inspections in a range of businesses and be EHORB/EHRB registered and hold a BSc or Msc in Environmental Health (or equivalent).

A full driving licence and access to transport are essential, as the role will require you to travel throughout the borough visiting different sites and areas.

It is essential that you have the ability to take an organized approach to your own work, whilst multi-tasking with your workload and offering a customer-focused approach.
