Environmental Health Technician PKC11041£30,727- £33,843Pullar House, 35 Kinnoull Street, Perth PH1 5GDThis is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the Private Water Team which forms part of Regulatory Services within Perth & Kinross Council. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic candidate to enhance our team. The main duties of the post include carrying out routine sampling required by the Water intended for Human Consumption (Private Supplies) (Scotland) Regulations 2017. You will also be required to carry out risk assessment of private water supplies. You will be required to arrange the transport and maintain associated documents in line with procedure arrangements and sample submissions. Therefore, a current UK Driving Licence is required. You will also be required to assess and administer grants for improvement to eligible users on private water supplies. The office base is Pullar House, Kinnoull Street, Perth PH1 5GD but the post will operate on a hybrid working arrangement.We welcome applicants who are educated to standard grade level or equivalent in English & a science subject. The candidate requires to be a skilled individual who can demonstrate initiative and take responsibility for decisions to achieve required results. The candidate should have some administrative experience and have good communication and interpersonal skills. There is a requirement to have some knowledge of relevant Private Water Supply legislation and associated guidance.
