Job description

What we’re looking for:

  • Do you have basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations in relation to estates services?

  • Do you have a valid driving licence and able to drive company vehicles?

  • Are you able to carry out general horticultural maintenance duties using hand tools and mechanical horticultural appliances?

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for an Environmental Operative on a permanent basis.

A bit about the role:

As an Environmental Operative, you will provide an effective, responsive and pro-active customer focused Gardening service that is of a consistently high standard .

Some of the key results for the role include:

  • To keep clean all areas, including litter picking, bulk removal and clearance, sweeping and emptying all types of bins. Removal of hazardous waste.
  • To work to an established cleaning schedule for the area allocated, ensuring good standards of cleanliness.
  • To carry out graffiti removal using the appropriate equipment and chemicals.
  • To carry out minor grounds activities, weeding, pruning etc.
  • To establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with work colleagues to ensure effective service delivery.

This role will require a basic DBS check and a UK driver’s licence.
