The Equality and Diversity Unit (EDU) is looking for an experienced office administrator with a passion for equality, diversity and inclusion to join our friendly team. You will also support diary management of the Head of the EDU. The post is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to ensuring that inclusion and dignity for all is the lived working and learning experience at the University, and who wants to expand their knowledge and gain related experience.

About the Role

You will act as the Unit’s Administrator, provide admin support to the Head of the EDU, and provide occasional practical access support to individual members of the team as required, including to those that might be disability-related. You will be the first point of contact for all internal and external enquiries. This varied role also requires you to deliver a high standard of customer service and confident in your ability to deal with sensitive information with tact and discretion. You will work closely with, and be able to learn from, a team of experienced equality advisors, who will support you to be successful in the role, encouraging you to make the most of our personal and professional development opportunities.


About You

You will need proven administrative experience to be successful in this role.

Good written and verbal communication skills are also required, and the ability to establish professional working relationships at all levels of seniority.

Confidence in handling sensitive information will be essential.
