Berkshire Riding Centre. is a friendly, ’highly commended’ BHS approved Riding School, Livery Yard and BHS Where to Train centre as well as a Pony Club training centre.
We are passionate about horses and helping our clients to achieve success. We have superb facilities, horses and ponies as well as enthusiastic, qualified and professional instructors.
We offer a range of services from riding lessons and tuition to livery packages, training for tests to activity days. Our facilities are extensive with both indoor and outdoor schools, xc schooling, and a classroom to support you in your apprenticeship.
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in horse care and horse riding with an ambition to succeed within the equine industry as a successful professional. You will have the opportunity to work with a third party agency as well as the in-house trainers. You will achieve nationally recognised qualifications through a structured training programme, gaining experience both on the job and through other work. This is not for the faint hearted as it involves hard work – both theory and practical – so you need to be well motivated, passionate and dedicated to working in the equine industry.
General yard duties will include
Mucking out
Grooming
Tacking up and tack cleaning
Feeding
Yard and paddock maintenance
Opportunity for riding
First aid
Training
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Qualifications required
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C, Functional skills leve1 1+ or equivalent.
Skills required
Previous experience with horses is essential. Please note that applicants with no experience will not be considered for this position.

Possibility of progressing to a Level 3 Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2 and/or a full time job.
