Travel required & covered - Hybrid working

Up to £36k pa - 6 month contract

Monday to Friday office hours, Flexibility required

Purpose of the role

• Provide generalist support to ER Managers to ensure delivery of an effective and professional HR service to GWR managers and employees on all people policies and procedures with a consistent approach
• Support Line Managers with providing a professional advisory service in relation to all employee matters

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for supporting ER Managers by providing a professional Human Resources advisory service to line managers and employees on all employment matters including employment legislations, terms and conditions of employment and Company policies and procedures.
• Provide Line Managers with advice and guidance on a range of employment matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management issues and other relevant casework.
• Provide additional support to ER Managers and Line Managers by attending investigatory interviews, hearings, and meetings as appropriate
• Support ER Managers in developing managers' competence through coaching/facilitating during day-to-day management activities including holding local briefings.

Personnel Specification

• ER Caseworking experience
• Willing to travel when needed (Travel covered)
• CIPD or unionised environment experience desirable
