ERTMS Operations Business Systems Specialist

As the ERTMS Operations Business System specialist you will be responsible for the planning and development of GTR's response to the delivery of digital operations support tools and interfaced systems e.g. traffic management, crew & stock, driver advisory system (C-DAS) and other associated solutions. In conjunction with Network Rail, suppliers and relevant areas of the business, support the longer-term needs of GTR and its customers throughout the lifecycle of digital operational programmes and beyond.
Development of collaborative operating models and processes to inform solution requirements and creative user-based systems design to support route digitisation, including development, testing and implementation of software solutions. The desired outcomes of which are to enable the business to achieve its business goals. Ensure operational data required to support the introduction of digital railway solutions is delivered in line with GTR requirements in relation to existing or new GTR operational systems.
Engage with all partners to embed change and optimise solution acceptance to a status of business as usual, so that the opportunity presented by digital technology is maximised to support more informed decisions which deliver positive business outcomes.
In collaboration with the General Manager Network Operations, Heads of Network Operations, Continuous Improvement, Real Time Information, Operational Planning, Performance and the wider ERTMS team define the GTR operational requirements, driven by the digitisation of the ECML, enabling a robust base timetable to maximise journey time improvements and ensure benefits of digital operational solutions are realised in future Performance Strategy Plans.
