Temporary ESOL Teacher

Duration: Up to 6 weeks

Hours: Part-Time 8am – 3.30PM
(2 days per week – Mondays and Fridays)

Location: Eastleigh

Pay – £140.86 – £215 (depending on experience)

Start – April 2024

About the role:

Supply Desk are working with a Sixth Form School based in Eastleigh that are seeking a ESOL Teacher to support students Part time. As a ESOL Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with English as a second language, helping them master the necessary language skills for Level 3 study. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging ESOL lessons tailored to the needs of the students.
  • Providing support to students in mastering English language skills.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assessing student progress and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience

About the School: 

The School is a mixed Sixth Form School based in Eastleigh for students aged from 16 to 19 years with around 900 students in total. Pupils enjoy a wide range of opportunities to develop confidence and character. The School comes with a Outstanding Ofsted rating and has a supportive SLT that cares deeply for the Schools values.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Qualified ESOL Teacher with relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience in teaching English as a second language.
  • Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
  • Motivated to make a positive impact on students’ language development.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs.
  • Be a committed team player
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Be able to deliver ESOL in a fun and engaging way that students can relate
