7.00am-9.00am/ 15.00pm - 18.00pm

PAY: £14,138.60 (paid over 41.7 weeks over the year - but working 36 weeks)
TYPE OF CONTRACT: TYPE OF CONTRACT: Fixed term until 31st August 2024 and then the contract is renewed each year
Job: Mini Bus Driver & Support Worker
ESS Employment Ltd are seeking to recruit a Mini Bus Driver & Support worker to join our client based in Stroud. You will be required to drive seven or nine seater vehicle to transport learners from home to site in Stroud for early morning collection and return at the end of the day. May be required for other driving duties on an ad-hoc basis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* To be responsible for transporting students from home to site and back home again.
* To be aware of Health & Safety requirements for students and drivers.
* To carry out vehicle checking process prior to each use.
* To maintain and clean the vehicle on a daily basis, ensuring the vehicle is kept clean for use prior to each trip
* Report any mechanical defects immediately that renders the vehicle unsafe to drive.
* Monitor the site buildings and car parks as required, reporting any theft, graffiti and abuse of property to the Provision Manager so that a safe, secure, clean and comfortable environment is maintained for staff and students on a day-to-day basis.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade for the post as requested by the Provision Manager.

Essential
*Full Clean Driving Licence
*Valid DBS check

Desirable
*GCSE Maths and English grade C or above
*MIDAS Minibus driving test or working towards one within first 6 months of appointment
*Previous experience of driving SEND students
*Experience of working with SEND learners
*Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements and reporting processes
