Estate Operative

We are currently recruiting an Estate Operative to join the South/Houghton team.
Within this role you will play a vital part in keep our neighbourhoods and communal areas clean and tidy for our customers to enjoy. With the vast amount of open space and the importance of attracting new customers to our homes your role will be helping make these areas attractive to all.
You will be required to work with minimum supervision both independently and as part of a wider team. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive and highly experienced team, where you will be offered training opportunities, sharing best practice, and technical talks. We also offer opportunities to progress within Gentoo.
The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo.

1.Grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, weed killing, strimming, clearing leaves, litter and debris.
2.General maintenance of grounds, landscaped areas, empty homes and customer properties and similar open spaces using mechanical equipment and materials
3.Carry out work to the required technical and quality standards.
4.Completion of all necessary paperwork related to the position
5.Assisting the Estate Supervisor in their work.

We are looking for a self motivated individual with attention to detail and has pride in the work they carryout.
The below experience and knowledge are desirable but not essential
Experience of:
1. Working with and using horticultural plant and machinery
2. Working as part of a motivated team
3. Driving and towing machinery
4. Ability to work from an app based scheduling system
Knowledge of:
1. Working to horticultural best practices
2. COSHH and Health and Safety in a horticultural environment
3. Sunderland and the surrounding areas
