Job description

Estates & Facilities Manager

Location: Grosvenor House, 5 Glengall Street, Belfast
Salary: £32,041.10 with opportunities to increase to £33,846.54

Contract: Permanent

Work hours: Normal work hours are between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday, however it may be necessary to work flexibly as are required for the proper performance of the duties of the role. This role will be part of an out of hours on call rota.

Belfast Central Mission (BCM) is an award-winning leading charity with social care projects and social enterprises across Northern Ireland. With over 300 staff and volunteers, the Estates & Facilities team support all services across Northern Ireland to deliver vital services to people at their point of need. The team currently looks after a portfolio of 10 properties. This includes supported accommodation, care homes and 2 private dwellings. These are mixtures of joint and sole tenancies.

The Estates & Facilities team supports the following:

·Planned preventive and reactive maintenance.

·Health and Safety requirements for the full organisation and all its sites.

·Supports an external IT company to meet the organisations IT requirements.

·Facilities management of Grosvenor House, Glengall Street, Belfast.

Your new role
The Estates & Facilities Manager will be responsible in ensuring that all maintenance activity across BCM site locations is undertaken to specification, on time and to a high level of quality.

They will monitor work undertaken by external suppliers meets specified standards and is in line with budgetary targets.

They will ensure that all levels of Customer Service/Care are maintained among Room Hire / Facilities Staff and that all Customers receive services as per requirement.

They will assist the Head of Estates, Facilities and IT with the overseeing of joint management agreements (JMA’s).

What we need from you

  • At least one years’ experience in a facilities and estates management role.
  • At least one years’ line management experience. Please see attached job description and specification for further details
  • 4 GCSE’s including Maths and English or equivalent.
  • A full driving license and access to a car with Business insurance as the role requires to travel to various BCM sites.
