The Estates Directorate at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint to the post of Estates Manager - Major Projects.
The postholder will provide specialist estates planning/development and project management expertise to ensure the successful delivery of the University’s Estates Master-plan and Corporate Strategy. The Estates Master-plan for the next 10 years is to be reviewed by Senate in April 2024. The plan includes a wide and diverse programme of work with projects ranging in value from £250,000 to £100million. The successful candidate will play a significant role in the delivery of these projects and will join the Estates Directorate at an exciting time as we progress the delivery of the University’s Future Campus.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:
- A relevant Undergraduate University degree (Built Environment)
- Professional Chartership Achievement to a relevant professional body (e.g. APM, RICS, CEng, RIBA) or Registered Architect.
- Relevant post-qualification experience in an estates/building project environment to include:
- Experience of working for or with a large complex organisation
- Experience of successfully project managing complex New Build capital projects (in excess of £5m).
- Experience of successfully project managing Refurbishment capital projects (in excess of £2m).
- Good understanding of various Works Contractor procurement routes
- Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams in achieving successful project delivery.
- Evidence of successfully managing multiple stakeholders in a capital project environment.
- Evidence of successful management of project budgets and resources.
- Evidence of successfully managing multiple stakeholders in a capital project environment.

- Use of project management systems and tools in the successful delivery of projects
